Buying and selling a home may seem like hard work but working with the right real estate agent makes all the difference. You want an agent who cares, listens to your needs, is patient and will work by your side every step of the way until the end.
Niki believes in competency, satisfaction and putting her client’s needs first, ensuring every client is happy with their decision. Niki has a strong background in construction and real estate. She started her career by working for Gutman, Mintz, Baker & Sonnenfeldt, P.C., a real estate firm where she represented landlords and owners of properties throughout NYC’s five boroughs. It was there that she learned about rentals, co-ops, commercial space, landlord/tenant relations and the role real estate property management companies play in that process. She went on to work for a real estate property management company, JRD Management Corp. currently known as Maxx Properties where she worked with attorneys preparing files for court and problem-tenant issues.
Niki then made the decision to move into the field of construction and spent ten years learning everything there she could learn about building infrastructure by working for WDF Inc., a Tutor Perini Company. Niki obtained her Real Estate Salesperson License to help people sell, buy or rent their ideal home.
A native New Yorker, Niki grew up in Rockland County in Pomona, New York and graduated from North Rockland High School. She is well traveled having attended college at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts where she earned a BA in Political Science concentrating on International Comparative Politics which led her to spend a semester abroad in southern Spain at the Universidad de Alicante in Alicante, Spain where she studied the formation of the European Union and the creation of the euro dollar.
After traveling throughout Spain, Italy, France, Portugal and England, Niki developed a strong interest in adequate housing in cities and the elimination of slum conditions. Niki was accepted into The New School University’s Masters program in New York City, studying Housing Policy as well as Globalization, Immigration and Transnationalism for a class partnered with the Universidad Tecnológica de Santiago in Santiago, Dominican Republic, where she obtained a MA in Urban Policy and Management. Niki currently volunteers her free time with Concrete Safaris, a nonprofit organization that provides healthy eating alternatives to inner city kids.
She presently lives in Westchester County with her 7-year-old son, an avid soccer player. If you’re looking to work with a real estate agent who is smart, caring, attentive and champion for your wants and needs, you will find it by working with Niki Bennett.
